If you mention plastic surgery disasters, an image of Michael Jackson will surely come to the mind of most people. The pinnacle of this celebrity cosmetic surgery blunder was when his nose caved in and had to be restored by cartilage from his ear. No licensed plastic surgeon in the country can work on Michael Jackson as his picture must appear on the walls of the offices of plastic surgeons like a wanted poster.

Unlike most celebrities who get celebrity cosmetic surgery to enhance their looks or to correct an imperfection, Michael Jackson, according to reports, had a dream to look like Diana Ross and complete alter his appearance. There was nothing wrong with his former appearance as he had achieved fame since he was a child as a singer. He had just made a huge comeback with the hit song Billie Jean when he began to use celebrity cosmetic surgery to transform his appearance. Whenever celebrity cosmetic surgery is used to complete change the way a person looks, it usually results in plastic surgery disasters. Such is the case with Michael Jackson.

Michael Jackson had his nose done so many times that it caved in. Unhappy with his nose, he continued to keep getting nose jobs. In addition, he also got a chin implant as well as cheek implants. This dramatically altered his appearance. Michael Jackson has also said to have had eyelid surgery as well as eyebrow lifting and Botox injections. The most controversial aspect of his celebrity cosmetic surgery was the lightening of his skin that he blamed on a skin condition. This completely changed his complexion and he went from being black to being white.

Celebrity cosmetic surgery, when it is used, should be used to subtly enhance features on the face and body or to reduce damage. Celebrity cosmetic surgery will turn into plastic surgery disasters when it is used like Michael Jackson to completely change the appearance of the face. Michael Jackson went from being an attractive young man with enormous talent, to looking freakish and behaving in such a bizarre fashion that he made Howard Hughes look sane.
