You must have heard about the Harry Potter series of books. I will be very surprise if you did not. Author JJ.K. Rowling has written six books so far, and intends to end the book series with the seventh title, which is already out at the bookstore.  Each of the first six books has been a great success, and four of the six have already been turned into equally successful movie.There have been talks of more movies on this.

Although the Harry Potter books and Harry Potter games are marketed as children’s or young adult books, they have also appealed to readers of all ages.The basic theme of the books is good versus evil,which is something that is understood and appreciate by many.In addition, Harry Potter and his good friends are often called upon to face their fears and also show great bravery at tough times.  These are admirable qualities that appeal to people, so the books is able to quickly touched the hearts of millions of fans.Each book in the Rowling’s series focuses on a separate school year,which mean that Harry and his buddies are 16 years old now.As the character in the book get older by the days, Rowling has made the plot even more darker and scarier.

The Harry Potter books have been credited with making reading a cool pastime again.In fact, the release of a new Harry Potter title is met with great media publicity.Bookstores around the world host midnight parties for fans who want to be among the first in the list to grab the new offering.  Fans are encouraged to dress as their favorite Harry Potter characters, and in turn the stores supply the decorations, music, and sometimes even refreshments.  In an age where young people would much rather surf the Internet or play video games than read, this kind of hoopla surrounding a book release is noteworthy indeed.  More about games at PSP Download Sites and Renaware
